A Word of Thanks!
A few words from Brian & Chris, October 11, 1998
As we continue along our journey we are constantly amazed at the generosity of those all around us. And though we try our best to offer our gratitude to those who have helped us on our way, we would like to take a moment here to just express again how much everyone's support means to us. This is an open letter to all those we have met who have lent a hand or kind word or brought smiles to our faces on the road...
Thanks to all who have opened their homes to us, allowing us into their worlds and treating us like family. You have made us feel welcome and made the open road a friendly place to be.
To those who have put food in our bellies, taken us out, showed us a bit of their city, and greeted us with a well received home cooked meal, we thank you. Living on road food can be tedious at times and your kindness in the form of food variety is always welcomed!
Thank you for all the words of encouragement and support via emails, letters, and cards. We are always excited to receive a full "mailbox" in our email. Its amazing how quickly a few words from friends and complete strangers can brighten your world!
To the members of our Full Tank Club we offer a hearty Thank You. Your kindness in the form of financial assistance has helped us continue our journey and reach out to more people along the way. It shows you believe in what we are doing and for that we are grateful.
To our new friends we meet along the way, those who grant us interviews and those who just offer a few smiles, thank you. Your giving of yourself and your time is an amazing example of the kindness of strangers. We enter a city meeting strangers and leave friends behind. We wish we had the opportunity to spend more time with each and every one of you, for knowing you even so briefly, has meant much to us.
Thanks to everyone who has made the first half of our journey a success and to all those we have yet to meet!
