Road Runner Theme
We stopped in a BP gas station outside Seattle, WA today to fill up for the journey to Boise. As we stood there by the gas pump, keyed in our selection, and began to pump the gas the familiar tune of the Road Runner theme crept up behind us.
Brian and I turned around to find where it was coming from and saw that the small kiosk screen on the pump I had just touched to make our gas selection was now alive with a Road Runner cartoon.
No more boredom as you pump your gas. No more drifting away in thoughts and gas fumes. No, now your filling station experience comes bundled with the finest in television entertainment. But be sure and pump slowly if you want to see the whole cartoon, because, as we found out, the show ends when the pump shuts off.
TV on a gas pump. Now if they could only install them in elevators to relieve the close proximity blues!
